Sixth-graders at George Middle School in Portland, Ore., recently painted over graffiti that had been spray-painted on the walls of a building near their school. The students are part of the school's Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T) program, which is required for all sixth-graders. They chose the graffiti cleaning for their community-service project after graduating from the program. They painted over the graffiti, which was on more than 400 feet of the wall.
