Girl aggression on the rise in Baltimore County schools

Between the 2001-02 and 2003-04 school years, incidents of girls fighting in the Baltimore County school district soared from 1,067 to 1,523, an increase of 43%. Schools are using peer mediation programs, small group workshops and, at one campus, a crisis intervention counselor, to teach students how to handle conflict.
