BP prepares latest plan to contain spill after "top kill" fails

BP's "top kill" technique has failed to contain a leaking well in the Gulf of Mexico. The company spent three days injecting heavy drilling fluids into the well, but it was unable to plug the leak. BP is now gearing up its latest attempt to stem the spill, using robot submarines to cut the leaking oil pipe and fit it with a funnel-like device.
