More high-school students are taking online classes

More high-school students across the country are taking Web-based courses, with one estimate showing 2 million students participate in some form of online learning. Massachusetts-based Virtual High School offers 336 Web-based classes to 13,000 students in 31 states and 34 countries, and it provides students with options that blend online learning with face-to-face instruction. The classes serve students who need to make up credits, students with special needs who are educated at home or in hospitals, as well as those who are looking for advanced courses or those not offered at their schools.
