Alaska Air bans Internet access while in the cockpit

Alaska Airlines has distributed iPads to its pilots, but interference with Honeywell Phase 3 display units has prompted the carrier to forbid the pilots from accessing the Internet while in the cockpit. An Alaska spokeswoman confirmed that Internet access in the flight deck is prohibited in accordance with guidance from the Federal Aviation Administration.
