Alaska Airlines is replacing electronic flight bags with iPads

Alaska Airlines will save close to 25 pounds of paperwork per flight by replacing its electronic flight bags with Apple iPads for all pilots. "We've been exploring the idea of an electronic flight bag for several years, but never found a device we really liked," said Gary Beck, Alaska Airlines vice president of flight operations. "This is the perfect fit."
