British Airways to spend $9B on fleet upgrades

British Airways will forge ahead with its planned global expansion by purchasing $9 billion worth of new aircraft and upgrading its fleet's in-flight entertainment options. "We are investing [$9 billion] for our customers in new aircraft.... We are also introducing new cabins and new in-flight entertainment systems," said Paolo De Renzis, regional commercial manager Middle East for the airline.
