Diabetes drug may help curb breast cancer risk

A diabetes drug may activate a protein that helps lessen malignancy and prevent metastatic spread of breast cancer tumors in high-risk patients, said Chris Nicol of Queen's University in Ontario. The findings suggest that diabetes drugs may potentially address some forms of breast cancers, Nicol said.
