Facebook changes policy on pharma page comments

Drugmakers that do not allow comments on their Facebook pages have until Aug. 15 to enable the comment function, and new pages will be unable to disable the function, according to a May 17 e-mail from Facebook. Branded pages for prescription drugs will be allowed, in some cases, to have the comment function disabled. The FDA is likely to expect drugmakers to report comments regarding adverse events.
