Feds reduce insurance premiums to widen coverage

Health officials announced Tuesday that premiums for federal health insurance plans will decrease by up to 40% in an effort to extend coverage among high-risk individuals with pre-existing conditions denied insurance by private insurers. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the reduction will make it easier for more people to sign up for the coverage and get insured.
