MassDOT struggles to plug persistent Big Dig leaks

Taxpayers may end up footing the bill for substandard work done on the Big Dig in Massachusetts. Despite the state Department of Transportation's vigilance in repairing persistent leaks, the leaks continue to cause fixture corrosion, crumbling fireproofing and falling concrete. The costly repairs are currently billed to the $458 million Central Artery trust fund.
