St. Jude nutritionist helps young patients eat right

Karen Smith, a nutritionist at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., says the hospital's patients have immune issues, so the first order of business is to educate them about food safety and eating safely. She says nutritionists also design special foods -- such as gummy treats containing carbohydrates, protein and fat -- that help children meet their dietary needs.
