Thai is retrofitting Boeing 747-400s with TVs, upgraded IFE system

Thai Airways is making a substantial investment in its economy-class cabins by adding an upgraded in-flight entertainment system and individual TV screens for each seat. The move is under way with Thai's 20 long-haul Boeing 747-400s. "Retrofitting aircraft is a good investment with relatively low cost and offering good returns," said Thai Airways President Piyasvasti Amranand.
