Wine consumption has risen dramatically among U.S. Hispanics in recent years, and California wineries are taking notice with marketing campaigns aimed at Hispanic consumers. The shift is a natural one, because wines pair perfectly with Hispanic cuisine, says Jose Placencia, a California ranch owner who discovered wine in college.
