CFOs acknowledge the need for tech literacy

CFOs realize that understanding emerging technology is an important skill set for their positions, but they don't always have the necessary in-depth knowledge in this area, according to a survey by Accenture, Oracle and Longitude Research. A majority, 84%, report that cooperation between the CFO and CIO positions has improved in recent years. "Technology is becoming more important to CFOs, yet we're seeing that the second-biggest skill gap the CFO has is technology," Accenture's Scott Brennan says. "That means there's an opportunity for CFOs to become more tech-literate and for CIOs to help CFOs become more tech-literate."
