EPA asks Supreme Court to reject review petition on E15 ruling

The Environmental Protection Agency is asking the Supreme Court to toss out a petition by three trade organizations seeking a review of a lower court ruling upholding the approval of E15. The EPA believes that the groups failed to point out any flaw in the lower court's ruling, according to court documents filed by Solicitor General Donald Verrilli. "To a large extent, petitioners ask this court to grant review, and ultimately reverse the judgment of the court of appeals, based on evidence and arguments that were never presented to that court. Further review is not warranted," Verrilli wrote.
