Premiums for some health insurance plans could increase by up to 40% under the Affordable Care Act, especially policies for young, healthy men, according to an analysis by consulting firm Milliman. Subscribers to plans that offer minimal coverage and high deductibles will have to upgrade to policies that meet ACA standards, but many consumers whose premiums increase will be eligible for federal subsidies.
