Robotics may help severely disabled stroke, spinal victims

Robotic technology is at the heart of a new machine designed to rehabilitate victims of stroke and spinal injuries. The Food and Drug Administration has approved the device developed by Oregon Health and Science University researcher Paul Cordo. He said his machine is meant to provide real rehab for the most severely affected patients who have had little alternative to simply working around their disability.
