Goldman board meets tomorrow to discuss succession

The Goldman Sachs board is expected to name the company's current president Lloyd C. Blankfein as its new CEO, but may decide it wants a nonexecutive chairman. Splitting the titles could show more board independence in the wake of corporate scandals, while also giving Blankfein more time to learn his new CEO responsibilities.
