Hungry for growth? Think buffet

For businesses looking to grow past a plateau, Seth Godin suggests a buffet analogy. If your buffet already appeals to 85% of the people out there, the only way to grow is to go wider or deeper with your offerings. Going wider means offering a few selections that appeal to nontraditional buffet types: vegans, Jews who keep kosher, etc. Going deeper means offering an "insanely over the top" selection of one food group -- such as chocolate -- that will attract devotees from near and far.
