Obama administration to create task force for FDA transparency

The Obama administration plans to create a task force to focus on improving transparency of product-approval decisions by the FDA. The task force, to be led by FDA Deputy Commissioner Joshua Sharfstein, will solicit opinions from independent parties and submit a report in six months to FDA chief Margaret Hamburg.
