Two UCSD scientists receive $700,000 each for research

The Burroughs-Wellcome Fund Career Award for Medical Scientists has awarded $700,000 each to two researchers at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. The first recipient is involved in research on transmission of molecular cell signals during tumor development and the second is focused on the use of molecular fluorescence imaging in surgery.
