$3 billion pipeline is delayed over environmental concerns

Plans for the Ruby Pipeline -- a natural gas pipeline that would link Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and Oregon -- have been delayed amid concern over the potential impact on cultural sites and endangered species along its 675-mile route. The El Paso Corp. is working with state and federal officials to secure permission for the $3 billion project, which is expected to create 5,000 or more construction jobs.
