Baltimore strengthens math and science summer programs

Baltimore school officials have revised the summer-school curriculum for this year, adding project-based courses to address summer learning loss in math and science. Among the new offerings: Middle-school students will be able to choose from courses that teach engineering through robotics or physics through golf, and students entering high school will be eligible to enroll in math courses on local college campuses that use forensics problems to teach algebra.
