Fall TV schedule clicks with ad buyers

Media buyers are mostly positive about the broadcast networks' emphasis on scripted dramas and comedies at this year's upfront. Just three of the 38 new series from the five broadcast networks are unscripted. Although the final upfront tally could jump by as much as 20%, the networks are still making up lost ground in terms of overall sales, compared with two years ago, said Donna Speciale, president of investment for MediaVest USA.
