Loopt fuses loyalty cards and social gaming


Location-based network Loopt has debuted a social game that aims to provide brands and retailers with virtual loyalty cards, letting customers compete with their friends and earn rewards and discounts along the way. The system, called Loopt Star, will launch with support from brands including Starbucks, Burger King and The Gap.
