Researchers are getting closer on 3-D TV without the glasses:

The Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan recently demonstrated a 42-inch 3-D LCD TV that uses parallax barrier 3-D technology so that viewers don't need to wear special glasses. Several TV makers currently are working on 3-D screens that don't require special glasses, which is considered a major obstacle to the TVs' gaining mass-market appeal.
