Wyoming to gather data on teachers to study recruiting efforts

Wyoming officials plan to collect data on teachers' academic credentials to determine whether they are recruiting the best teachers. The Wyoming Department of Education will gather information about colleges, grades and Praxis II exam results of principals, assistant principals, teachers and tutors in the state. Officials say the data will not be used to rate or evaluate teachers, but instead will be a tool to determine the quality of the teachers the state is attracting.
