Proposed CMS rule expands e-Rx incentive program

The CMS has made revisions to its e-prescribing incentive program, expanding the definition of an eligible e-prescribing system to allow EHR systems that have been certified as demonstrating meaningful use to be eligible to receive incentives under the e-Rx program. The proposed rule is slated for publication today in the Federal Register.
