Designer's adaptive equipment meant to be stylish, functional

Postmodern architect and designer Michael Graves, 73, who was paralyzed in 2003, has designed a new line of adaptive equipment aimed at seniors and people with disabilities. "The idea was to make the items not look institutional, but friendly, for the home environment," says Harvey Diamond, whose company is manufacturing the line.
