Study shows 4% of hospitalized children had medical complication

A study that included 38 children's hospitals nationwide shows up to 4% of hospitalized youths suffered some type of medical complication, including infections caused by medical care. Researchers say the findings show more prevention work is needed and may bring about changes in hospital safety policies and nurse-to-patient ratios.
