Bernstein: Possible Verizon Wireless deal has risks, rewards for Apple

Adding Verizon Wireless to its network of iPhone suppliers could prove a double-edged sword for Apple, according to Bernstein Research analysts who say the company would likely double its sales at the cost of up to $200 a phone -- because AT&T would probably cut its subsidy once it is no longer the exclusive vendor. On another iPhone front, Apple has released iTunes 8.2, which will support the soon-to-be-released iPhone 3.0 software upgrade.
