Cirrus Design rehires workers as demand picks up

With demand on the rise for its aircraft in the U.S. and overseas, Cirrus Design is rehiring about 50 employees who were laid off in January. A total of about 500 workers who were on furlough early this year are now back on the job, and the Duluth, Minn.-based company says its production will increase from six airplanes per week to eight.
