Michigan to establish biobank

Michigan state officials announced a plan to establish a nonprofit, population-based biobank at Wayne State University that will store blood collected from 4 million newborns over the past 25 years. The Michigan Neonatal Biobank will allow scientists to use the blood samples in their research on the genetics of childhood and adult-onset diseases.
