Michigan providers gear up to benefit from HIT stimulus funding

As the Obama administration develops a definition for the "meaningful use" of electronic health records and other IT tools, providers in Michigan are preparing to deploy such technology to benefit from certain incentives specified in the stimulus law. An expert, however, said high costs as well as technical training for physicians and staff could slow down health IT adoption in the state.
