"No Plane, No Gain" campaign helps improve GA's image

Efforts to change the general aviation industry's public image through Gulfstream's "No Plane, No Gain" have paid off with improved attitudes, but more needs to be done to project a positive image, according to company president Joe Lombardo. In addition to the slumping economy, the industry faced a PR firestorm after the heads of the big three automakers flew on separate corporate jets to ask Congress for federal bailout funds, but Lombardo says negative press from the incident has abated.
