Scientists reprogram pig cells into stem cells

Chinese researchers said they converted pig cells derived from the animal's ear and bone marrow into pluripotent stem cells using a virus containing reprogramming genes. They hope the finding could provide new insights into human diseases and help produce animals that could provide organs for human transplantation.
