Students develop device for laparoscopic surgery

University of Cincinnati students have developed a surgical device that enables surgeons to perform laparoscopic surgeries through a single incision in the stomach. The single-port laparoscopic-access tool could help minimize scarring and trauma and speed up recovery of patients, one of the inventors said.
