Will user fees clip angels' wings?

Indiana resident Tonya Woods got a lifesaving lift to Minnesota's Mayo Clinic for cancer treatment last fall, and she credits Angel Flight Central for making it possible. "It's real nice of the pilots," she says. "They fly with their own plane, with their own fuel." But one of those pilots, retired Delta Capt. Dan McElroy, says proposed user fees for general aviation would curtail his ability to offer free flights. "With the increased burden of these user fees it will cut back to how many hours I can fly, how many people I can help," he says. "It will also cut back how much training I can do to stay current, and some people will get costed right out being able to fly."
