Rep. Teague: Support algae-based fuel technology now

The government should provide the same tax breaks to algae-based fuels as it does to cellulosic biofuel and allow algae-based fuels to be counted toward the renewable fuels standard, writes Rep. Harry Teague, D-N.M. Teague and Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., have introduced a bill supporting these changes, saying commercial-scale production of algae-based fuel could reach "tens of billions of gallons" a year.
