Sources: SEC wants former Obama adviser banned from securities work

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is trying to bar Steven Rattner, President Barack Obama's former adviser for the auto industry, from working in the securities business, sources said. New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo and the SEC suggested that Rattner made improper payments to get business from the New York state pension fund.
