Steve Jobs defends Hon Hai, assails Adobe

Apple chief Steve Jobs told All Things Digital conference attendees that picking HTML 5 over Adobe Flash was akin to betting on the right horse, and insisted that Apple's Taiwanese manufacturer Hon Hai Precision is no sweatshop. Jobs also said the iPhone originated as a tablet. "My God, I said, this would make a great phone ... so we shelved the tablet and built the iPhone," he said.
