Study links African mines with TB spike

Poor working conditions in African mines combined with a lack of access to health care could be factors in tuberculosis outbreaks across the continent, according to a study published in American Journal of Public Health. Countries that reduce mining see a rapid drop in the number of tuberculosis cases, according to the study.
