Minority users help fuel Twitter growth, study finds

Twitter is used by 13% of U.S. adults, according to a study from the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project. Minorities are likely to play an increasingly important role in the service's user base, as 25% of black Web users are on Twitter, compared with 9% of non-Hispanic white Internet users, the study finds. Twitter has become more popular among Web users between the ages of 30 and 49 since November, according to the study.
