Fla. city manager, mayor aim to slash budget by $16.5M

The Doral, Fla., City Council will consider $16.5 million in cuts for this fiscal year proposed by City Manager Joe Carollo and Mayor Luigi Boria. The reduction, which would come out of the general-fund budget of $58 million, would affect overtime pay and plans to build a police station and a park.
