Md. county exec works to overhaul school leadership

Prince George's County, Md., Executive Rushern Baker is implementing leadership changes in the school district after a law was passed giving him authority to do so. Expected changes include hiring a superintendent, appointing two more school board members and designating a vice chairman. Officials said they were able to begin searching for a superintendent when the law took effect Saturday.
