New law leads to school-leadership changes in Md. district

In Prince George's County, Md., County Executive Rushern Baker is implementing leadership changes in the district following the passage of a new law this year giving him the authority to do so. Expected changes include the hiring of a new superintendent, the appointment of two more school board members and the designation of a new vice chairman. Officials said they were able to begin searching for a superintendent when the law took effect Saturday.
