U.S. jobs report is expected to show sustained slow recovery

Among the major U.S. data due this week is May's jobs report, which is expected to show modest gains that should allay fears of a midyear economic slump. "The recovery's resilience is evident in the job market. Employers continue to add around 175,000 jobs per month, spread across most industries and regions of the country," said Scott Hoyt, senior director of consumer economics at Moody's Analytics.
