U.S. senator wants more job-training opportunities

Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, said vocational rehabilitation agencies should do more to help students with disabilities get internships and other life experiences as they transition from school to the workplace. Harkin is working on a bill to reauthorize the Workforce Investment Act and wants vocational rehab agencies to allocate 10% of their funding for pre-employment services for students with disabilities.
