Kroger Backs FMI's Animal-Welfare Guidelines

The Cincinnati-based grocery chain has pledged support for the new animal-welfare standards, which are expected for release this summer. The standards to be released by the Food Marketing Institute and the National Council of Chain Restaurants include best practice guidelines to guarantee the humane treatment of animals.
